Step 1: Preparation
Cover the work area, and place the Petri dishes next to each other for easy pour. Wear gloves and eye protection. We used Petri dishes which can be ordered online, for example on amazon. The ones used have a diameter of 8.5mm.

Step 2: Mix & Cut
Roll the SikaQuick® Patch like a tube of toothpaste in the direction of the red arrows until you burst the seal in the middle, combining the two components. Grab the bag with two hands and begin shaking back and forth until it's completely mixed. This should take approximately 20 seconds. Grab your scissors and cut any corner of the bag.

Step 3: Filling the Petri Dishes
Begin pouring SikaQuick® Patch into the Petri dishes filling them up to the rim (do not overfill them). Tap them lightly on the table to level the concrete. If some concrete poured over the edge, remove immediately with a damp cloth. Allow molds to dry for at least 3 hours.

Step 4: Removing Petri Dishes
With a box knife, cut open and remove the Petri dishes. Use a rubber spatchula to help remove Petri dish without scratching the surface.

Step 5: Tape & Paint
We used blue masking tape to ensure straight lines before painting the coasters. We found that acrylic paint works best for this application.

Step 6: Tips
After paint has dried check the bottom of each coaster for roughness. We suggest to add felt pads or cupboard discs to protect against scratching your surfaces.
